Notes
Key recommendations
-
Maintain a blended form of service delivery, offering both online and in-person options for clients
-
Use ongoing feedback to determine impacts of each type of service delivery
Key findings
-
Compared to before restrictions, 11% more clients used online therapy delivery.
-
76% of clients needed an interpreter for therapy sessions, but online delivery resulted in a decrease in clients needing an interpreter, which could be due to increased barriers to accessing these services
-
When compared to in-person service delivery, less online clients indicated having met their goals after receiving therapy
-
Most (84%) of participants indicated that brief therapy helped with wellbeing, and had decreased symptoms of trauma
-
Though clients believed online therapy was more convenient, they also indicated that it was harder to connect with therapists online
